iLEAD is a private academy that is concerned with the preparation of educational leaders for Islamic schools. iLEAD will achieve its goal through conducting practical courses mainly designed for Muslim teachers aspiring for leadership roles. The academy can assist other organisations in designing similar courses or by providing professional advice on similar matters.

iLEAD started as a response to the existing vacuum in Islamic schools in the field of leadership preparation. As the founder of the academy and an experienced teacher in Islamic schools, it was obvious to me that there was no existing system in most Islamic schools to prepare the next generation of educational leaders. Even if a teacher is making a great effort to upgrade his/her qualifications in this field, there is no system in place to utilise this effort. On the contrary, sometimes these sincere efforts are viewed as a potential threat!

Once I was given the opportunity to take on a leadership role at an Islamic school (IGC), I believed it was about time to propose this idea to all those who share the same passion of establishing a professional system to prepare the next generation of educational leaders for Islamic schools.
